Rhody Haven is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) residential behavioral health program for youth and families in Rhode Island. We are trauma-informed, family-centered, and least-restrictive. We accept out-of-pocket/private pay and referrals from DCYF, hospitals, schools, community providers, and families.

Assessment, individualized planning, and evidence-based therapy (TF-CBT/CBT/DBT). Same/next-day documentation and regular family sessions.
Predictable schedules, groups, outdoor time, and youth leadership opportunities—focusing on skills, regulation, and community.
A progressive framework (Anchor → Harbor → Lighthouse → Voyage) that builds responsibility and privileges alongside safety.
Days 0–3 or as needed. Close structure; staff-directed zones; 1-hour supervised visits; scheduled calls; ~15 minutes of choice time.
More autonomy; 2-hour visits; free-range outdoor time; +1 flexible call; 30 minutes of choice time.
Leadership opportunities; 3-hour visits; recreation equipment; +2 flexible calls; 45 minutes of choice time.
Youth ambassador (opt-in); extended visits; leads recreation setup/cleanup; 60 minutes of choice time.
We accept most youth appropriate for residential stabilization and skill-building. We keep Rhode Islanders close to home.
DCYF • Hospitals/EDs • Schools & community providers • Family/self-referrals. Out-of-pocket/private payment is accepted.
1) Active sexual offense perpetration or sexually reactive behaviors that cannot be safely managed; 2) Legal restrictions we cannot meet; 3) Immediate medical/psychiatric instability requiring hospital level of care.
