Healing Happens at Home

Healing, Stability, and Dignity for Rhode Island Youth

Rhody Haven is a nonprofit 501(c)(3) residential behavioral health program for youth and families in Rhode Island. We are trauma-informed, family-centered, and least-restrictive. We accept out-of-pocket/private pay and referrals from DCYF, hospitals, schools, community providers, and families.

People-First Care

Dignity, choice, predictability, and collaboration in every interaction.

Least-Restrictive First

De-escalation and collaboration come before restriction; safety is everyone’s job.

Family & Systems

We keep Rhode Islanders close to home and involve families, schools, and partners.

Licensed & Evidence-Based

Care pathways and documentation align to DCYF/BHDDH and evidence-based practices.

Our Program Model

Our integrated model combines clinical pathways with therapeutic programming and a strengths-based level system. Day-to-day flow is led by our milieu team and coordinated in daily clinical rounds. Key roles include: Clinical Director (clinical leadership), Program Director (operations), Head of Milieu (daily programming), Lead Clinician (clinical quality), and Milieu Associates (24/7 care).

Clinical Pathways

Assessment, individualized planning, and evidence-based therapy (TF-CBT/CBT/DBT). Same/next-day documentation and regular family sessions.

Therapeutic Milieu

Predictable schedules, groups, outdoor time, and youth leadership opportunities—focusing on skills, regulation, and community.

Rhody Levels

A progressive framework (Anchor → Harbor → Lighthouse → Voyage) that builds responsibility and privileges alongside safety.
